Sundar has a great ability to take a simple idea or even a rough concept and turn it into something polished, professional, and visually appealing.

As a dancer and founder of Natesha School of Bharatanatyam, I have had the opportunity to work with Sundar Design Studio for several of our creative and promotional needs. Sundar has helped us with event flyers, banners, program materials, business cards, and other designs associated with our dance activities.
Designing for Bharatanatyam requires an understanding of both aesthetics and tradition, and Sundar has a wonderful ability to bring those two together. He listens carefully to the artist's vision and then adds his own creative ideas to make the final design much more elegant and impactful.
I especially appreciate his patience, responsiveness, and willingness to go through multiple iterations to get the design just right. His work has helped us present our programs and events in a much more professional and attractive way.

I'm Sundaresan TK (Sundar), the creative mind behind SundarDesignStudio. What began as a passion for experimenting with HTML and Flash — designing flyers and invitations for friends and family — has grown into 22+ years of design work for businesses, artists, nonprofits, temples, and cultural organizations across San Diego and Southern California.
What I Do
I design logos, flyers, invitations, business cards, brochures, banners, event programs, websites, and CD covers and labels for cultural and devotional recordings — with a special connection to small businesses, nonprofits, religious institutions, dancers, musicians, and cultural organizations. Think Bharatanatyam arangetram brochures, temple festival flyers, and community event materials.
Every project starts with a conversation: who you are, who you're reaching, and what you want people to feel. Then I design for that.
Design Meets Technology
My design sense is backed by two decades in tech — from web development as a Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky during my Master's in Computer Science, to my current role as a Software Lead at Qualcomm. I don't just make things look good; I solve communication problems creatively, balancing tradition with modern design and technology with human connection.
Passion started the journey. Perseverance kept it going.
